Smell – This smells great. It’s fresh, woody and spicy all at the same time, extremely versatile for all seasons, all occasions. Want to dress up? It’s got you covered. A casual hangout? Easy pick. Whilst I don’t love it quite as much as Kenzo Homme (another creation of Bisch,) it is certainly still delightful. It is a bit difficult to describe the smell in its individual notes and components, as really I find the appeal to me is the sum of its parts. It is so evidently well blended into something amazing.
Bottle – I acquired the collectors edition which is quite nice design wise. The regular bottle seems fine too – it is functional and importantly refillable – meaning if you like it, you can always save money buying refills subsequently.
Longevity – this lasts all day, whilst simultaneously you will feel that it fades in an hour. I know this because I left home in the morning, came back in the evening and my friend could still smell it on me, meanwhile I couldn’t detect it at all. You absolutely will go nose-blind to this. This makes sense of most reviews you will see of this – how else do you get a frangrance which some call “nuclear” whilst others say “weak” and assert it’s barely detectable. Some have suggested reformulations, cost cutting etc. However those doubts just don’t reconcile with the fact even more recent reviews have the same inconsistency. This is textbook nose-blindness.
