Revlon

Revlon is an old perfume house. The earliest fragrance was created in 1935 and the latest in 2021. Revlon fragrances were created in collaboration with perfumers Steven Claisse, Harry Cutler, Givaudan, Annie Buzantian and Judith Cross.

On March 1, 1932, in the midst of the Great Depression, a tiny company called Revlon was launched in the US market, with a starting capital of $300. But even this inconspicuous event was the finale of an even earlier work of an eccentric man named Charles Revson. From his youth, the young man was fascinated by colors, ways of fixing them, mixing them and obtaining new shades. He tried to realize such an unusual hobby in third-party companies, where he sought career advancement, but his plan did not work out, and then the man decided to create his own business.

At the time of the opening of Revlon, Revson already had a number of developments in the cosmetic field and released the first line of varnishes, based on the pigments he developed. Thanks to Revson, a manicure culture appeared in the world, which brought him his first millions of dollars. He also introduced the famous rule “varnish to match your nails”, which is still followed to this day. Unlike most brands, Revlon began to produce fragrances from the first years of its existence and continues to do so to this day. According to various sources, there are more than 70 perfumes of the brand in the world.
